A SPACE FOR KIDS TO LEARN THROUGH PLAY AND EXPLORATION, FEATURING TINKERGARTEN
At Dandelion Explorers, we believe that children should be the leaders of their own learning, and what better place than to do that than outdoors. When given the space, materials, and invitations, beautiful and joyful learning happen. Using Tinkergarten’s program, our goal is to empower children to take risks, embrace challenges, and explore the world around them.
JOIN US THIS SUMMER: SENSORY
Senses are central to how kids experience the world, how they behave, and how they learn. While most kids crave sensory engagement, unfortunately they don't always get it. More and more, teachers and parents are noticing that young bodies are crying out for more of what their developing sensory systems need. Good news! Nature truly is the ideal, sensory environment—calming, constantly changing, and stimulating to all of our senses, in perfect balance.
This Summer, our curriculum is designed to help each child strengthen and balance their senses in the most stimulating and soothing classroom of all—the great outdoors. Our curriculum will help kids foster each of their senses, activate multiple senses at once and offer approaches to support each child’s unique sensory system.
There is a total of six classes offered this summer. If committing to a full session seems like a lot for your family, you can opt into joining for the individual classes or select several that work for you!
Classes will follow the dates as follows:
FULL SIX WEEKS: WEDNESDAY 7/10-8/14 from 10am to 11am
INDIVIDUAL WEEKS: WEDNESDAY 7/10, 7/17, 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14
WHERE: Hilltop Farm at 1616 Mapleton Ave, Suffield, CT
Fees: $120 for 6 classes OR $25 for individual classes

Fostering a love of learning and the outdoors have always been important to me. I look forward to using my knowledge of developmental learning and teaching to provide opportunities for our young explorers to develop confidence and an understanding of the natural world around them. Before stepping out of the classroom, I was a teacher in Springfield for seven years, and got my bachelor’s at Springfield College and my master’s at The Harvard Graduate School of Education.
