At Dandelion Explorers, we believe that children should be the leaders of their own learning, and what better place than to do that than outdoors. When given the space, materials, and invitations, beautiful and joyful learning happen. Using Tinkergarten’s program, our goal is to empower children to take risks, embrace challenges, and explore the world around them.

JOIN US THIS SPRING: CREATIVITY

Kids are born creative, and that natural creativity tends to lessen as they grow and the world demands the “right answer.” And yes, creativity will be essential for our children more than any generation before. Tinkergarten’s carefully designed Creativity Series helps kids strengthen their natural creativity. At Dandelion Explorer’s, we’ll activate our imaginations and practice the building blocks of creativity as we break, bend, and blend objects found in the most creative studio of all - nature.

This spring, there are a total of eight classes offered. If committing to a full eight seems like a lot for your family, you can opt into joining for the first or second half for a total of four classes.

Classes will follow the dates as follows:

  • FULL EIGHT WEEKS: Mondays (4/08 - 6/10; NO 4/15 OR 5/27) OR Thursdays (4/11 - 6/13; NO 4/18 OR 5/30) from 10am - 11am

  • FIRST FOUR WEEKS: Mondays (4/08, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6) OR Thursdays (4/11, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9)

  • LAST FOUR WEEKS: Mondays (5/13, 5/20, 6/3, 6/10) OR Thursdays (5/16, 5/23, 6/6, 6/13)

  • WHERE: Hilltop Farm at 1616 Mapleton Ave, Suffield, CT

Fees: $175 for 8 classes OR $100 for 4 classes

  • Families registering 2-4 children for the 8 weeks will pay $125 for each additional child. If you are registering 5 or more children, email Elizabeth for pricing.

  • The cost will be prorated if you register after the season starts to reflect the remaining sessions.

  • There is a limited amount of financial aid available. Please email Elizabeth if you need financial assistance.

    LEADER

    Fostering a love of learning and the outdoors have always been important to me. I look forward to using my knowledge of developmental learning and teaching to provide opportunities for our young explorers to develop confidence and an understanding of the natural world around them. Before stepping out of the classroom, I was a teacher in Springfield for seven years, and got my bachelor’s at Springfield College and my master’s at The Harvard Graduate School of Education.
